About the Role
The Product Designer will help make Cornerstone's financial services easy to understand and comfortable to use — for first-time digital savers as much as experienced merchants.
You'll work with Product and Engineering to design user flows, interfaces, and content that build trust and work well on everyday devices and networks.
Key Responsibilities
- Design user flows and interfaces for the app, merchant portal, and dashboards.
- Map and improve conversational flows for USSD and WhatsApp channels.
- Create wireframes, high-fidelity mockups, and clickable prototypes in Figma.
- Run lightweight usability tests and turn findings into design improvements.
- Maintain and extend a consistent design system and component library.
- Design clear transaction states, confirmations, and error messages.
- Prepare design handoffs and support engineers during implementation.
Requirements
- A portfolio showing UI/UX work — academic, personal, or professional projects all count.
- Working knowledge of Figma or an equivalent design tool.
- Understanding of user-centred design, visual hierarchy, and mobile-first layouts.
- Ability to explain design decisions clearly.
- Openness to feedback and iteration.
